Was very keen for a fish after work although no good results. Water much rougher than expected so only fished around Fawlkner Beacon in about 16m of water. Baits constantly been taken by flatheads nibbling away. Banjo was caught just after dusk. Water still too cold for snapper to be up this end of the bay. Forecast for warmer weather should be a blessing. |

Early start prior to daylight savings kicking in. Started in about 18m of water near spoils ground. Both small sharks caught within an hour of each other after sunrise. Moved further south to about 20m of water and didn't get a touch. Stopped off near Black Rock in about 18m of water for a quick try but similar result. Wind blew up and it was a slow bumpy ride back to the marina. Still no snapper up the top end. |

Headed up to the pier on a beautiful day with a nice WSW blowing around 5 knots. Few people fishing, fished 3/4 up the pier both sides and had no bites except for the hook up with the ray. |

Beautiful day, hoping for more reds must be still a bit early. Got the one at around 9am. Didn't run with the bait just nibbled at it. |

Went out for an early morning session on Grand Final Day. Started off at Fawkner Beacon and after not even a touch headed towards spoils ground for a similar result. Then came in off Ricketts Point where there were plenty of boats coming and going. With by the looks of things most people achieving the same results. Maybe a bit premature yet as didn't get the slightest sniff that there were any snapper grazing these spots although sounded some decent single fish. Hopefully not too much longer now. |
