Comments: Caught 3 fish between 5kg-6kg. His strike rate was appalling. One fish from 7 hook ups. The next night he fished with evil for the same result. They got 5 fish of which evil caught 4. He got one fish from about 10 hits. Overall a dud performance.

Location: Port Phillip Bay Time: 4.30am-9am
Type of Water: Bay Type of Fishing: Boat
Target Fish: Snapper
Bait\Lure\Fly: Silver whiting, pilchards
Fish Caught:

1 x snapper @ 3kg

Comments: First trip out for the year. Fished Ansetts for one run at 6.20am, no hook up. Then quiet till 8am when I got my first snapper on silver whiting at 3kg. Fish spat up a chewed silver whiting with a 4/0 big red mustad hook so must have busted someone off earlier that morning, no other runs. Also can't believe the morons who roar through the middle of boats anchored up fishing, slow down and show a bit of common courtesy, maybe its not as common as it should be. Good to be back on the water even with the morons and lots of boats out.

Comments: Fished with my mate drifter. At 4.10pm two of my rods went off, drifter took 1 rod and after 2mins he dropped it. Ten minutes later his reel went off, but he dropped it again. What could have been 3 ended up 1.
