My son and I have been fishing the surf for the past month pretty regularly and it started great on our first trip, when all the fish were caught. But has been very dry in beteween. We are beginner surf fishermen and might be doing things wrongly, any feedback (especially good spots) would be much appreciated. We also tried Breamlea on Fathers' Day but had no luck, because we did not know where to fish!! |

Fished about 1/2 way along the beach toward Anglesea from the carpark on top of the cliff. Nice deep looking beach for fishing but didn't produce much. |

We fished the beach just south of Point Addis on an incoming tide with no success. Despite throwing everything we had at it, we left empty handed and short by one mobile phone which is apparently not waterproof. We used berley, different bait, different rigs, tried different locations along the beach, but eventually had to throw in the towel (and the phone). I have heard from a few sources that this area is generally quite productive but we didn't see any action. As I am new to Victoria, any tips or hotspots would be greatly appreciated. Good Luck! I hope you catch a big one. |
