Stuffed around a bit in the morning so got out late. Released the gummies, were around 100 boats out and don't think anyone caught much. Water was very murky. |

One massive run first up and the fish was brought right up to the boat, then lost as drag played up as it tried to run under the boat-not happy. |

Got one big bite but didn't hook up. Didn't even know I had the flatty till i checked bait and caught the trevally. God knows how the thing engulfed a whole baby squid and 4/0 hook-this place has been very unproductive of late may have to fish further north. |

Last minute decision to go as conditions looked good according to the BOM. Calm water, slight SE wind, 9.30am high tide. Fish action crazy between 7.30am -9am. Many bites and many dropped fish??? was strange the amount of fish getting off the hooks. Berlied up heavy at 7am with pellets calamari/pipi/pilchard mix. All fish caught was a bonus as I didn't expect to do much. Was hoping for a pinky but high tide wasn't big enough. Went home happy again.... |

Got to Tenby and got the gummy on my first cast. Also had a really big run but my drag wasn't set properly so when I lifted my rod tip the bloody line broke-I wasn't happy. Then got the elephant which cheered me up, followed by two banjos and another gummy which was too small. Caught the flathead just as I was leaving. All in all-a good days fishin!! |
