I am 16 years old. When I was small, I used to go fishing off the Hastings pier with my mum (I surf fish now). Anyway I used to catch a lot of toad fish and this particular weekend I caught heaps.

After being told that they are dangerous I asked my mum if she could take them off the hook for me, well she sure did that... she took them off and started throwing them at me!

So there I was, 9-10 years old, running for my life down Hastings pier with toad fish flying left and right of me!

Till this day I am very scared of toad fish!
