WHO ARE WE?
We are a Carrum Downs community based, family oriented fishing club that welcomes anyone with an interest in fishing. We currently have approximately 80 members including juniors. The club was formed about two years ago by Murray Hodges who saw the need for a family oriented club where the whole family is included in what is a great sport. We meet twice a month in an informal and relaxed atmosphere.

Western Port, Port Phillip Bay, Port Albert, Woolamai Surf Beach, Lower Tarwin River, Tambo River, Patterson River and Inverloch
OUR COMPETITIONS
We have twelve (12) competitions per year and several social fish days. Each competition is designed to target a particular species or location. We have a limit on the number and minimum size of fish that can be weighed in as well as some exceptions for environmental reasons. We have one 'open' competition this year. This means that you can fish your secret location and target your favourite species. If you have a favourite spot that you would like included in next years calendar just let the committee know, or better still, take part in the selection committee. Each competition finishes with a formal weigh in and is then followed by a free barbeque catered for by the club.
WHY WOULD I WANT TO JOIN A FISHING CLUB ?
Firstly fishing in a group is safer, more fun and you learn from others experiences. You get to meet new people, make new friends and fish new places. Your whole family can be involved in the club and the kids have a ball. You also have peace of mind in case of difficulty on the water that there is always someone to help.
