MINIMUM LEGAL SIZE:

 

BAG/POSSESSION LIMIT: 5 (including a maximum of 2 greenlip abalone.)
CLOSED SEASON: Permanent year-round closure of central Victorian marine waters to recreational abalone fishing, except for 60 days each year, is now in effect.

How to measure Abalone: Abalone must be measured prior to removing it from its location and at the widest part of the shell regardless of whether the shell is whole or damaged.

Removing meat from shell (shucking): You must not in, under or on Victorian waters shuck abalone, or be in possession of shucked abalone, or land shucked abalone.
