CLOSED SEASON:
The closed season for greenlip abalone has been removed for all waters excluding central Victorian marine waters.

Note: Greenlip abalone may not be taken from Port Phillip water until further notice.

How to measure Abalone: Abalone must be measured prior to removing it from its location and at the widest part of the shell regardless of whether the shell is whole or damaged.

Removing meat from shell (shucking): You must not in, under or on Victorian waters shuck abalone, or be in possession of shucked abalone, or land shucked abalone.
