VIDEO FILE FORMATS USED BY FISHVICTORIA.COM
All videos available on Fishvictoria.com are in MPEG-4 format ("MPEG-4 Improved" for the large versions and "MPEG-4 Basic" for the smaller versions). You require QuickTime from Apple to view the videos (see the QuickTime free download links on the main video page).

As at 8 June 2005 QuickTime 7 for Windows is available and we will start using the new MPEG-4 format called H.264, the latest in video compression technology.

YOU WILL NEED THE FREE QUICKTIME 7 PLAYER (approved for Windows XP, Windows 2000 and Apple Macintosh) TO VIEW THESE VIDEOS.

H.264 is a new industry standard that’s quickly grabbed widespread support. Chosen as the industry-standard codec for 3GPP (mobile multimedia), MPEG-4 HD-DVD and Blu-ray, H.264 represents the next generation of video for everything from mobile multimedia to high-definition playback. Ultra-efficient, the H.264 codec compresses video tightly - resulting in much smaller files - but without sacrificing any quality.

Please email us on the address above if you have any further questions.
